Minutes of the June 24,2021 regular meeting of the Southern Black Hills Water System held at Crazy Horse Memorial.
Chairman Wick called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM.
Roll call: The following Board Members were present: Wick, Zolnowsky, Kraus, Krump, Baird. Smith, DeFries and Peplinski were absent. Don Peterson was also present.
Agenda: Motion by Zolnowsky, second by Baird to approve the agenda. Motion passed unanimously.
Minutes: Motion by Baird, second by Kraus to approve the minutes of the May 27, 2021 regular meeting. Motion passed unanimously.
Treasures Report: Don Peterson presented the treasures report for May. The report was reviewed by the board members. Motion by Baird second by Kraus to approve the treasures report. Motion passed unanimously. The check sequence ending May 31 was check # 3844 and beginning June 1 check #3845.
Old Business: The Board discussed the June 3, 2021 letter we received from the Town of Hermosa informing us they will not be purchasing any water from us at this time. They thanked us for the time we spent working with them on helping them with their water issues.
Managers Report: Don Peterson gave the board a update of the Forest Service permit revision that has been delayed for many months. A staff pickup with 300,000 is in need of replacing, Don will bring some options for replacement to our July meeting.
New Business: Wick, Baird and Zolnowsky volunteered to be on the budget committee and September 18, 2021 was the date set for the annual meeting.
